Communications & External Relations Coordinator

Summary of Responsibilities

Assists the External Relations Liaison with activities related to the Board of Directors, Member Representatives Committee (MRC), and other committees.  Assists with all aspects of communication with stakeholders, including Texas RE web content, announcements, and training. 

Essential Job Duties

• Develops strong working relationships with registered entities.
  Support Board of Directors, MRC and membership meetings and activities.
• Assists with preparation, posting and distribution of Board and MRC reports, presentations and other materials.
• Communicates information from the Reliability Assessment, Compliance and Enforcement groups to Texas RE stakeholders.
• Assists with external outreach and communication such as the Texas RE website content, Talk with Texas RE meetings, and the Texas RE newsletter.
• Works with Texas RE departments in the development of documents and materials for publication to stakeholders.
• Coordinates and plans the Standards & Compliance Workshops two times per year and the Critical Infrastructure Protection Workshop annually.
• Facilitates ERCOT System Operator testing program.
• Assists in obtaining, compiling and analyzing stakeholder feedback.
• With stakeholder groups, assists in preparing regional responses to NERC inquiries.
• Prepares presentations and reports as needed for meetings, including research and data compilation and analysis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field or six years applicable experience is required.

Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a related capacity.
